Why I didn’t watch the Springboks win the World Cup

Yup, I didn’t waste my time watching. I’m done with those arseholes.
Yeah, I’m calling them arseholes even after they just won the World Cup.
Why?
Because to me, they’re just a bunch of blow hard losers who got lucky. The next time they’re up against the All Blacks in the Tri Nations, they’ll fold like the wet little noodles they really are.
They didn’t even score ONE try on Saturday. Losers. No tries = not a game worth my time watching.
Back in June, the arseholes went up against the All Blacks in Durban and after being ahead for almost the whole match, they showed what a bunch of losers they truly are, and let the All Blacks plant two tries and nail them 26-21.
Beating the Lions is no accomplishment. They’ve never been worth anything. But consistently beating the All Blacks in the Tri Nations is something that the Springboks CAN’T do. They can’t do it.
Oh, they’ll win all the World Cups you like, but ask them to win one little match against the All Blacks, and they’ll screw it all up.
Here’s me… not celebrating.

October 22nd, 2007 at 10:20Why are you so bitter and angry? For once the rest of the country isn’t, you’d think that would be enough reason to celebrate!

I don’t think its fair for anyone, even you Conan, to be dissing their efforts made away from home, friends and family. They may not be as consistent as we like, but show me one team who is in any sport.
I support Springboks 100%
Bad Richard!

October 26th, 2007 at 14:45Shows how little you actually know about rugby – the English are the Roses, not the Lions as you wrote.
Anyway, the Springboks are better off without your support.
Congrats to the Bokke again!

October 26th, 2007 at 18:02My above article was written somewhat tongue in cheek, congratulations for failing to spot the humour, Raldo.
However, there is a serious problem with South African rugby right now in that the selectors are guilty of racist selection. This is clear because of the almost all white Springbok rugby team.
So I’ll spell it out for South Africans:
If you EVER EVER support an almost all white national sports’ team again, then you are a RACIST.
And I mean that quite seriously.

October 30th, 2007 at 16:14Richard, Rugby is a game played at traditionally white schools. Yes, most of these schools now have a majority of black students. Maybe in 10 years time we’ll enough great black players to fill the starting 15 (there’s hope) but until then should we stop the Springbok train to wait for the rugby playing black kids to grow up?
