I can’t imagine many black South Africans wanting to support an almost all white Springbok team. Why would they do that? Personally, I’d like to see every single white player in last year’s Springbok team banned from playing rugby again for South Africa. We just can’t allow them to play again – they are tainted with racism.

Then I heard people telling me that black people don’t play rugby so they have to select white players or we would have no team. And then I read that 80% of rugby players in South Africa are black and I realised that I got told yet another lie by the white racists.

So here we are, 14 years after Apartheid ended, and we still have white racists running wild in this country, pulling moves, getting away with racist selection in our top sports team. And all because we had two presidents more willing to kiss white first world ass than demand transformation at all levels and make heads roll when it did not happen.

What should have happened on the eve of our World Cup Rugby match is that the entire team should have been recalled and we should have forfeited the cup due to racist selection. I’d rather LOSE every single game than have racism win.

But it seems that the white rugby fans just want white faces or they’ll emigrate over to New Zealand where they can run onto the fields with old South African flags and call black South African players “kaffirs”. They are only happy when they’re being obnoxious oppressive bastards. And then they wonder why black criminals prefer to shoot them.

If they can put-up a notice in the wals of their businesses that this business subscribe to the human rights charter and it embraces equality,humanity and justice and that all who entered that front door ia human being and equal and should be treated justly blacks will fall into line.

if the likes of arnold can summon their children around the dinner table and educate them about our past and present political situation then i would throw my hands up in the air and shout at the top of my voice that whites are transforming and adapting.so failure for them to harbour the above and sit in london and claim we are just sitting here hoping for a miracle that will make it possible for us to return to south africa leaves a lot to be desired.

We’re not moving on. No-one is going anywhere. Not until we get sincere apologies from the racists or they die or they leave this country.

But we’re not going to just forget their past racism. We’re not going to forgive it, because they aren’t even asking for forgiveness for it. They want to justify themselves when no justification can be found.

I`m not sure about your apology but what I know its that the National Party politicians did whatever they did not in the name of whites, but, of their government.If they apologised they did not do so on behalf of whites- but on behalf of the national party; and the national party was not for whites on the same level the ANC is for blacks but for South Africa.

Now,I would be interested to know… when you say you apologised… to whom did you do so, and on behalf of whom because in the past we had Richard the person and Richard the militarist.

For me to reconcile and heal with whites will be when they go on national television or Ellispark AND CONFESS,apologise and ask for forgivenessTheir nonsense that hey lets put the past behind us and let`s get on with our lives is a damn cheek that does not hold water!

I have zero interest in sport myself. The only time I take an interest is when politics is involved. Then I’m all over it.

But to me, I really don’t care who wins or what the score is. It just doesn’t matter to me. The one time, earlier this year in June, when I decided to take an interest and watch a game, it was because I had had a conversation with a Kiwi and we had made an arrangement that whoever’s team lost had to call the other to congratulate him. I ended up calling him.

How I see it, is that I spent an hour watching a game, getting involved in it, and ultimately we lost which annoyed me, because the Springboks had been ahead most of the game. To me, it was just a waste of an afternoon.

Richard, I haven’t read your Spur competition article but here is my input to the whole thing.
I once raised an issue at a company I used to work for because they only ran Sports related Competition when there was a Rugby game (International & national) but no competitions were ever organised for Soccer events even when it involved crucial International games. How myopic is that?

…and sure, no white person ever supported Apartheid or will ever admit to having benefited from the system but yet most are in positions they are in or living the lifestyles they do because of the system.

Should one complain about including blacks in the rugby team, all you will hear is people singing in one voice that merit should be applied, merit my foot. Merit can only apply if all start from the same level, no privileges or otherwise. If we were all staying in townships and our parents/grandparents didn’t get a chance to study further, we all attended the same schools without proper facilities, then JA, merit can be applied. But for now, nix, whites are already advantaged and thus no merit can be applied.

And when I published my articles about Spur, I was attacked by many white South Africans. I was also informed by McLaren that it is stupid to be “racist against your own kind”.

See, I don’t think it’s obvious at all to white South Africans what is appropriate.

I’ll hammer it home: it is INAPPROPRIATE to support the Springbok rugby team because it is RACIST.
