I’m not gonna join in on speed comparisons, but I have to confess, my experiences between Telkom and iBurst are the complete opposite. I’ve just concluded a 3 year saga with iBurst, but I am still aggrieved and have written a long, angry complaint. If you have an open mind – i.e. not a believer in your ISP no matter what – follow me down the rabbit hole:

Btw, you so-called ‘ADSL support’ people don’t have a fucking clue. Do you even have matric? I would find it hard to believe since you cannot even type a sentence properly.
You have never given me good service. I know this because every time I phone you about a client’s issues you deny any problems with your own network yet you assclowns don’t even know what Ping or Traceroute is.

@telkom fan: Well, I’m glad you’re happy with Telkom, many people are. I find the portability of iBurst very useful. A Telkom 4Meg ADSL connection is no doubt much faster than what iBurst currently offers.

Btw, Telkom’s abuse department responded to my complaint: “The person has been identified and given a warning that such activity will not be tolerated and further action will be taken if this happens again.”

Let me be clear, I don’t mind people contributing opinions which differ from mine, but abusing me on my own blog is not on.

I bet none of your claims are true either, but on the off chance that they are, I have forwarded your comment to abuse@telkomsa.net and asked that they trace your identity and fire you from Telkom for leaving abusive comments in public which embarrasses Telkom publicly. Not a single bit of your comment makes any sense based on the fact that I described a bug discovered in a Telkom issued router that puts the customer at risk even if they follow instructions.
