This just in… FoxInni haXors FaceBook, steals their secret sauce and shares it freely with the WordPress world

According to a police spokesperson, a South African hacker web designer, known in web underground circles as Foxinni, broke into FaceBook around midnight last night and proceeded to empty out their CSS, PHP, HTML, Javascript and other assorted AJAX scripts. He then proceeded to publish his ill-gotten gains to the world by releasing a FaceBook look-a-like WordPress theme, flouting authorities’ attempts to apprehend him.
Foxinni is considered armed (with PHP) and dangerous. Members of the public who spot him are warned not to approach him, but rather to run away screaming.
Cape Town news became aware of this story late Tuesday evening when well meaning fellow South African WorPress designer / rockstar Adii alerted South Africans to this new threat to WordPress peace in this disturbing blog entry. An English vigilante blogger who attempted to bring Foxinni to heel was quickly neutralised and persuaded to join Foxy’s nefarious cause.
Indeed it is rumoured that even just one look at this new theme, sucks people into Foxinni’s nefarious underground world of WordPress skullduggery.
Fortunately for me, I’m impervious to such scum as these. I mean, of course, I looked at the new theme, but it had absolutely no effect on me. Well, I did make a comment (or two) on Foxinni’s blog of savagery, but I think I got away with it.
You may not be as lucky or as strong-willed as I am. So, be warned – stay at home and watch TV, because outside in the streets, rabid Foxinnis roam, giving away free WordPress themes.

Mere coincidence?

February 13th, 2008 at 12:46I like the theme. All you must do now is to get about 10 million teenagers to come write a lot of nonsense on your site and no-one will know the difference. Where do I change my profile?

February 13th, 2008 at 23:22The sploggers take good care of my Technorati ranking these days.
They’ve effectively rendered Technorati obsolete.
My ranking doubles every 24 hours.

I know its a bit confusing at the moment. I am busy redoing my blog. Gonna move it to fto.co.za so its more South African. You know the “search sa pages only” is not working so great when its a .com

February 14th, 2008 at 21:45Mhhh…. OK….
**thinking in progress….**Nope, sorry Richard, the very fact that its a FB look-alike is a turn off for me. Not a total turn off, rather it’s not something out of the ordinary.
I am all for a touch of uniqueness. This theme is going to be all over blogosphere, that its hype will die as quickly as it came.
I am very positive and sure that if Fox can manage to make a look-alike theme like this one, then he certainly can make killer, unique, Fox signature themes in the future.

February 14th, 2008 at 22:57Well, Obi, see Foxinni is making a name for himself with this FaceBook knock-off theme.
I’m thinking movie, books and merchandising rights here.
In future we can expect to see Jean Claude van Damme playing Foxinni in Knock Off, FaceBook II
I think this theme is so damn bad that I’ve rolled it out across my network of related sites too:
Adderleystreet Advertising Agency
Red Planet hostingWe’d invite you to the Movie Premiere, but nobody needs negativity there – it doesn’t complement the popcorn and 500ml Coca-Cola.
