Mugabe is out!

According to this BBC news report, Zanu-PF has lost the recent elections held in Zimbabwe.

I read many blogs whose authors expressed the rather pessimistic and paranoid opinion that the election recounts were being used to rig the election, but it seems that those fears have turned out to be without substance.

Zanu-PF has lost control of Zimbabwe’s parliament.

This is arguably the most exciting of times for Zimbabwe. The results of the presidential polls are expected by Monday.

What is going to happen next will be very interesting to see.

And starving voters usually do not vote in the cause of their starvation, which is what Mugabe has found out recently.

The recession that Mugabe started by destroying agriculture was then worsened by his debasement of the currency caused by printing too many currency bills, and then worsened further by price fixing and price slashing. Every single method adopted by Mugabe to reign in hyperinflation has exacerbated it.

I can’t think of one good thing that Mugabe has done for Zim. Perhaps you can?

According to SAPA-in the past two years less than 50% of all SA Police Service members charged with serious offences have been dismissed;of those 28% were charged with murder,27%for rape,24%percent for corruption and 34%for corruption.

I have helped a homeless person before. It didn’t work out, though. He was anti-social and an alcoholic.

I was married at the time. I met this guy who was selling his own newsletter, instead of begging for cash. I thought that was rather innovative of him and I decided I wanted to help him get off the street.

However, he didn’t co-operate. We had him staying in our flat for about a week before we realised that it was not going to work out.

By that stage, we had redone his newsletter, printed it all out and all he had to do was go out and sell it. Except he no longer wanted to do that. He was content to sit on his arse all day doing nothing.

So we put him out of our flat. He dumped all the newsletters in a street in Muizenberg. I got a call from the Municipality who wanted to fine me for dumping newsletters in the street. We had printed our information in the newsletter for people to contact this guy via us.

And before you ask, the homeless guy we tried to help was an old white man. This all happened back in 1997.

@Marko: I’ve seen him around since then. Last time was back in 2001, I think. I found him in a car park begging for bux.

I thought I would fuck with him a bit, so I started telling people around him not to give to him because he was an alcoholic and he’d just spend it on booze.

Well, he hit the roof. Started roaring like a lion. Security escorted him off the premises.

It was hilarious.

But I was pissed off at him. We had gone to a lot of effort and expense on his behalf and he had repaid our kindness by dumping all of it in the street. Total wanker and loser.

Some low brow magazine featured him more recently as a beggar giving his opinion on various toothpaste brands. Not that he uses toothpaste or bathes. We had to force him to wash. And then he complained bitterly that we did so.

Rchard is right since one help one only when one sought help and people in Capetown help you to help yourself in return so i can go to Ricxhard and ask for a space in his company premises to start my own company and that`s where his help can comme from not the bullshit you`re uttering here that I`m incapacitated and I must be fed,clothed,sheltered,nannied and nappied like these aliens-no-no!

I am Zimbabwean living in England and I used to live in Harare, I must say that my country has been ruined by world’s biggest terrorist which is Mugabe, look at the exchange rate, poverty, economic conditions of Zimbabwe. When I think about it my heart really goes, I wonder why Mugabe does not let citizens of Zimbabwe decide the future of the country and also Mugabe must realize that he is in power since last 30 years his mind is getting old and he cannot think the same as young generation can think, so he must resign for the better of Zimbabweans. Thank you
